Join the Fight to Save Our Dream

A Mother, A Daughter, and Someone Who Believes in Them

Marlise London isn't your typical employer. We're a small British family business run by mother Marlise and daughter Sofia, and we're fighting for our survival. This year nearly broke us. Costs doubled, suppliers demanded payment upfront, and for the first time, we whispered the words we never thought we'd say: "What if we have to close?"

But we're still here. And we need help.

The Role: Customer Service & Social Media Assistant

This isn't a corporate customer service position. This is being the voice of a family business where every email matters, every customer counts, and every order might be the one that buys us another week.

You'll respond to customer enquiries with warmth and care, provide styling advice, manage orders and queries, engage with our community on social media, and help us turn browsers into believers in our story.

We Need Someone Who

Writes beautifully in British English with a warm, elegant tone that sounds like a trusted friend, not a corporate bot.

Genuinely cares about making customers feel valued and helping them find pieces they'll love.

Can handle difficult conversations with grace (returns, complaints, disappointments) while protecting the sale when possible.

Understands that supporting a small business means being resourceful, wearing multiple hats, and sometimes figuring things out as you go.

Believes that work should mean something, not just pay bills.

What We Can Honestly Offer

Meaningful work. Your emails aren't disappearing into a corporate void. They're directly impacting whether a family's dream survives.

Flexibility. Remote work, flexible hours. We understand life doesn't fit into a 9-to-5 box.

Fair pay for a small business. We can't compete with corporate salaries, but we'll pay you fairly and treat you like family.

The chance to be part of something real. No corporate jargon, no fake team-building exercises. Just honest work for honest people.

Real talk: We can't promise career progression, fancy perks, or job security beyond what our sales allow. What we can promise is that your contribution will be seen, valued, and genuinely appreciated every single day.

If you're the kind of person who roots for the underdog, who wants their work to actually matter, and who believes a small family business deserves a fighting chance, we'd love to hear from you.

Send your CV and a short note about why this resonated with you to hello@marliselondon.com.

Even if you're not sure you tick every box, if this job posting made you feel something, reach out anyway. We're looking for heart as much as experience.

Every application matters. Every person who believes in us matters.

Thank you for considering being part of our story.

Warmly,

Sofia & Marlise
